In 1971 The Butterfly was created by Gary Friedrich, Ross Andru and Mike Esposito for Hell Rider #1, a comic book aimed at adults. Marian Michaels was a Las Vegas Star Singer at night and the first black superheroine at an even later night. Capable of flight via jetpack, suction cups to climb walls and lights in her wings to blind enemies.

The character was quickly dropped as the publisher forgot to issue a copyright, putting the character directly into the public domain. This comic is my own, personal reboot of the character. Enjoy.
