Time Eater
The World as we know it, is the result of the perfect balance between Time Braiders and Time Eaters.
They are a very specific type of gods, in which all males are Time Braiders (meaning, they are immortal and use their immortality in order to create time), and all the females are Time Eaters (meaning, they must make contracts with humans in exchange for time, so that they can feed on it and keep on living).
Even though they are at a clear disadvantage, Time Eaters also have a set of rules they need to perform by -- however, one Time Eater, more exactly, the youngest daughter of the supreme god, does not obey by the rules. Some of her kind call it rebellion, she just calls it survival.
